We promote literacy.
That means we teach to read ideas - written thoughts shared across millennia.
We also teach reading music notes, for profound thinking comes to us in the form of ideas that spring to life when what we hear, we also see.
That is why we also teach to play a music instrument: to enable our fingers to express great ideas sounded by a piano, a cello, a flute, a guitar.
But we also teach the voice as an instrument: to sing the ideas of poets in many languages, but most especially the language of the heart.
The literacy we teach is for life.
